Hermleigh ISD is looking for a motivated AG science teacher. Possible classes to include Principles of AG, AG Mechanics, Power Systems, and Practicum of Ag. Other classes to be added based on applicants strengths.
This is a 12 month contract with Hermleigh ISD paying $2,000 above state base salary. There is a $4,500 stipend attached to the position as well.
Training LDE and CDE teams is required, but the emphasis on being competitive is the top priority.
Stock show experience is not required but encouraged. Hermleigh FFA exhibits primarily gilts and barrows at several major shows. Swine experience is not required but a plus.
School provided pickup, aluminum gooseneck trailer, and aluminum bumper pull trailer are available for transportation of student projects. Hermleigh ISD also has a feeding facility for show pigs, lambs and goats. There is also a show arena located at the feeding facility.
CDL is required or willing to obtain quickly.
Hermleigh ISD also has possible affordable school housing available.
