6-8 Teacher Pool

Loraine ISD is seeking teachers interested in joining our Bulldog family. We are a small, rural 1A district serving approximately 140 students and 38 staff members. Loraine is centrally located on I-20 between Midland and Abilene, and between Lubbock and San Angelo, making it an ideal location for those who enjoy small-town life with convenient access to larger cities.

Qualifications & Preferences:

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university 
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI) 
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned 
• Valid Texas CDL or willingness to obtain one (preferred)
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to foster a positive classroom culture and rapport with staff and students

Compensation & Benefits:

• $375/month contribution toward health insurance premiums
