Provide assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and referrals regarding the health and medical care needs of students in order to support student learning and attendance. The LVN will work to reduce health-related barriers to education and contribute to a safe and healthy school environment.

Provide direct nursing services to students and staff, including first aid, medication administration, and health screenings

Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive school health program

Maintain up-to-date health records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines

Collaborate with families, physicians, and outside agencies to ensure continuity of care

Conduct vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings and follow up on referrals

Develop and implement Individualized Health Care Plans (IHPs) as needed

Support student attendance by managing chronic health conditions

Participate on student support and crisis response teams as needed

Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics
