We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Reading Language Arts (RLA) Teacher to join our close-knit team at Trent ISD. Enjoy a four-day instructional work week with one Friday per month designated for professional development, planning, or student support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach RLA courses aligned to TEKS for grades 8–12, with a focus on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and critical thinking.

  • Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to diverse student needs.

  • Maintain effective classroom management practices in a supportive, relationship-driven culture.

  • Incorporate technology and best practices into daily lessons.

  • Collaborate with campus staff on cross-curricular instruction, data analysis, and RTI strategies.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Serve as a positive role model and advocate for student success.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (required)

  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in English Language Arts (Grades 6–12) or ability to obtain

  • Strong content knowledge and passion for literacy and student achievement
