Head Softball Coach – Baird High School

Baird ISD is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Softball Coach to lead our high school girls’ softball program. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field. The successful candidate will be a positive role model and a committed educator, ready to contribute to a well-rounded student experience at a small 1A high school.

Location:
Baird High School – Baird, Texas

Coaching Duties:

• Serve as Head Softball Coach for the Baird Lady Bears

• Lead all aspects of the softball program including offseason development, in-season competition, and summer programs

• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success

• Collaborate with the athletic director and other coaches to support the entire athletic program

Teaching Assignment:
The teaching field is open to certified applicants in one of the following areas:

• Technology Applications

• 4-8 Generalist

• 6-12 Science

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas teaching certification in one of the listed fields

• Coaching experience preferred, head coaching experience is a plus

• CDL or willingness to obtain is preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Contract Type:

• 10-month teaching contract plus coaching stipend

• Competitive salary based on Baird ISD pay scale and experience

• Coaching and teaching stipends available
