Comanche Elementary School is seeking a qualified individual to fill a special education life skills position.
Job Description: Provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to student ability levels. Prepare goals, individual learning plans and attend ARDs.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification
ESL certification a plus, but can be acquired during the year
This position is potentially eligible for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. The allotment provides funding to pay highly effective teachers whose students show measurable improvement in academic growth. The average allotment paid to those teachers who earn TIA designation is approximately $6,500-$23,500/year in addition to their regular salary.
