  • Provide professional development and technical assistance in the area of language arts and dyslexia which seeks to improve student achievement by supporting teachers and administrators with curriculum and instruction.


  • Texas Teachers Certification
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Dyslexia experience preferred
  • Knowledge and skills in the area of language arts
  • 5 years successful teaching experience
  • Effective oral and written communication for the educational community
  • Proficiency using technology in the classroom
  • Experience presenting effective professional development to teachers 

Performance Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Determines needs of teachers/students by analyzing data such as STAAR/EOC, TAPR, and other district and campus level accountability data.
  • Plans and organizes professional development and/or on-site technical assistance for teachers and administrators.
  • Coordinates activities that enhance language arts and other content area knowledge and skills.
  • Evaluates the extent to which objectives have been met to determine future goals and objectives.
  • Disseminates information on curriculum, instructional practices, and materials.
  • Models for teachers and administrators effective instructional practices.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary - Dependent upon years of educational experience.
  • Teacher Retirement System Benefits

Position Details:

  • 209 Day Contract, Pay Grade 2
  • Reemployment or termination contingent upon funding and/or evaluation of duties
  • Start date: June 3, 2019
