General Maintenance

Gustine ISD is currently looking for a Maintenance Worker.  Preferred applicants will have basic building maintenance skills, to include basic carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and landscaping.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and gounds maintenance
• Ability to maintain and account for district equipment, supplies, and materials
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
• Ability to obtain Bus Driving License within 6 months of hire date (District will pay costs)
• Ability to obtain Integrated Pest Management Certification within 6 months of hire date  (District will pay costs)
• Ability to obtain Asbestos Management Certification  (District will pay costs)

General Knowledge/Skills:

• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by district administrators
• Willingness to be part of the Gustine ISD Team

Compensation

• Hourly rate minimum:  $17.50 (Actually hourly rate will be determined based on experience)
• 12 months (School holidays include but not limited to Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, and Spring Break)
• 5 State and 5 Local Leave Days a year  (Unused days can be rolled over)
• District pays $300 monthly towards health insurance premium.

**Must be able to pass State required background check.
