Job Title: Educational Instructional Technologist

Position Overview: The Educational Instructional Technologist plays a pivotal role in supporting the integration of technology into the educational environment. This individual will focus on integrating technology into the classroom, professional development, administrative tasks related to technology tools and platforms, vendor relations, and be responsible for managing various aspects of technology infrastructure within the classroom.
Contract Term: Contracted Employee, 197-day contract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Professional Development:
1. - Engage with teachers individually and in group settings to discuss new tools and technology resources for the classroom.
2. - Attending Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings as needed to share ideas and introduce new tech tools.
2. Assist with Vendor Relations:
1. - Collaborate with vendors to establish connections within Classlink/One Roster for educational software and tools.
2. - Maintain administrative access to all vendors and possess a deep understanding of backend systems to troubleshoot issues effectively.
3. Software Applications Management:
1. - Build and Manage Classlink App Library and Access:
i. Oversee the setup and management of Classlink applications and user access for students, teachers, and staff.
ii. Ensure seamless integration of educational tools within the Classlink environment.
2. - Eduphoria Facilitator:
i. Serve as a facilitator for Eduphoria Aware and Strive, overseeing its functionality and providing support to users as needed.
3. - Social Media Content Creator:
i. Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms to highlight district initiatives, educational achievements, and school events.
4. - Google Forms Management:
i. Manage Google Forms within the designated account, including creating, editing, and troubleshooting forms as needed.
ii. Address any issues related to Apps Script and provide timely solutions to maintain functionality.
5. - Teacher Sub Plan Drive Folders:
i. Add/Edit new teacher Sub Plan Drive Folders and distribute them to each campus Sub Website for lesson plan distribution.
ii. Ensure that all folders are organized and accessible for substitute teachers.
Qualifications:
• Teaching certificate or classroom experience (A minimum of three to five years).
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, in Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working in K-12 education, preferably in a technology integration role.
• Strong understanding of educational technology platforms, including Classlink, Google Workspace, and Eduphoria.
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and vendors.
• Ability to integrate technology into curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with scripting languages such as Google Apps Script.
• Familiarity with education-specific software and tools commonly used in K-12 environments.
• Certification in Google Workspace for Education or equivalent.
