Day Nursery of Abilene - Baird ISD Partner Campus
Baird Elementary is looking for a pre-kindergarten teacher for our new Pre-K 3 classroom located at the Day Nursery of Abilene, for the 2025-2026 school year to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject areas assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Elementary Education (EC-4).
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Knowledge of elementary curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of EC-4 students.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student achievement.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain open and proactive communication with parents regarding student progress and achievements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching elementary students (EC-4).
- Familiarity with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards.
- Professional development in elementary education or related areas.
