Position: Junior High Science Teacher Location: Woodson Independent School District Start Date: July 31 2025 (or as agreed upon)
Job Description: Woodson ISD is seeking a passionate and student-centered Junior High Science Teacher to join our team of committed educators. This individual will inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and promote hands-on learning in a small, supportive school environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
Use data to assess student learning and adjust instruction to meet needs
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote student success
Participate in campus and district professional development
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Science (Grades 4–8 or equivalent) or eligibility to obtain
Strong instructional and classroom management skills
Ability to develop meaningful relationships with students and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience teaching science at the middle school level
Willingness to contribute to UIL or athletic programs is a plus (but not required)
