Paraprofessional Roscoe Elementary

Roscoe Elementary is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our team and support the educational and behavioral needs of our elementary students. As a paraprofessional, you will assist teachers in the classroom, work one-on-one with students, and provide general support to ensure a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in the preparation of instructional materials.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Help manage classroom behavior and provide support to students with special needs.
• Supervise students in various settings, including the classroom, cafeteria, playground, and during transitions.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Provide support during testing and other school activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or principal.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to students of varying ages and backgrounds.
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with children.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with students with special needs.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with standard school hours.
• May involve standing, sitting, or working on the floor with students.
• Occasional lifting of materials and equipment may be required.
