Drill Team/Dance Instructor

Sweetwater High School is adding a Dance Instructor!

Primary Purpose:
Direct and manage the drill team program at Sweetwater High School. Provide students with
appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for
intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth and provide an opportunity to participate in
extracurricular dance. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in
society. Additional teaching assignment if necessary.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
Knowledge of various dance styles and techniques
Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules for competition
Ability to choreograph routines
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Current first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED)
certificate
