  • To provide effective and efficient fiscal management for Workforce Solutions of West Central Board and Communities in Schools of the Big Country. 


  • Experience in State and Federal Grants/governmental Accounting
  • Accounting Degree-CPA preferred

  • Oversight day to day financial management of Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas Board and Communities in Schools
  • Develop and implement appropriate operations to maintain efficient and effective procedures
  • Prepares accurate financial reports for the Texas Workforce Commission and Communities in Schools for internal purposes, for board members, external clients, and other Federal and State entities as required
  • Monitor accounting systems and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Process financial transactions accurately and on a timely basis including cash requests for reimbursement of expenditures and maintaining positive bank balances under the secured allotment.
  • Prepare and maintain an equitable allocation plan for each client annually
  • Assist Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas Board and Communities in Schools, with all financial aspects as needed; completing grants, budgeting, allocating funds, creating financial reports, reconciling bank accounts, preparing Form 990, and providing any financial assistance as needed. 
  • Assist the external audit process, submit audits to the Texas Education Agency (TEA), Texas Workforce Commission, and appropriate federal/state agencies, and review and respond to the audit findings and management letter.


  • Takes the initiative in making judgment decisions in providing services to Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas Board and Communities in Schools.


  • Demonstrates good communication techniques and utilizes proper communications with clients 
  • Effectively transmits ideas and information to groups or individuals.
  • Establishes communication linkages with local LEA, Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas Board, and Communities in Schools.


  • Exhibits professional courtesy during personal interaction with Region 14 ESC staff and other contracted entities
  •  Displays an open-minded attitude by receiving, listening, and reacting to communications.
