Hermleigh ISD is looking for a motivated 3rd-5th grade Reading teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Certifications in ESL and early childhood education not required but encouraged or willing to obtain. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver TEKS based instruction to 3rd-5th grade students. The teacher will be expected to articulate and model a love of learning and to use instructional methods that emphasize higher-level thinking skills. Hermleigh ISD 3rd-5th grade students are on a rotation between Math, Reading and Science/Social Studies. The candidate must be able to prepare all students for the 3rd-5th grade Reading/Writing STAAR test. Candidate must be able to decipher student data from MAPS testing along with classroom instructional testing.
Hermleigh ISD pay scale includes above base steps. Along with a $1,600 stipend per tested subject totaling $4,800.
