Description

Thank you for your initial interest in the Title III/Bilingual/ESL Consultant position at Region 14 ESC.  This position will be supervised through the Center for Federal Programs.

Goals:  

  • Provide professional development and technical assistance related to Title III/BE/ESL programs for teachers and administrators in Region 14.
  • Provide leadership in the development of educational programs appropriate for a State and Federal guidelines related to position.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Texas Teachers Certificate with Bilingual Certification or ESL Endorsement
  • 5 years successful teaching experience
  • Strong background working with Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
  • Knowledge and skills appropriate for meeting program/student needs
  • Effective oral and written communication for the educational community
  • Proficiency using technology in the classroom
  • Strong professional development experience 

Performance Responsibilities and Duties:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Plans and organizes professional development and/or on-site technical assistance for teachers and administrators.
  • Coordinates activities that enhance Title III/Bilingual/ESL knowledge and skills.
  • Evaluates the extent to which objectives have been met to determine future goals and objectives.
  • Disseminates information on curriculum, instructional practices, and materials related to Title III/Bilingual/ESL.
  • Models for teachers and administrators effective instructional practices.
  • Serve in a coordinating role to disseminate information for the program.

Position Details:

  • 12-Month Contract; Pay Grade 2
  • Reemployment contingent upon funding and/or evaluation of duties
  • Frequent travel within Region 14 service area and occasional statewide, overnight travel required
  • Position will remain open until filled
