Position Overview:
Wylie West Junior High is seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Math Teacher who also possesses coaching experience or interest in coaching Boys Athletics. This dual role is crucial in promoting academic excellence and athletic skill development among our students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid teaching certification for Mathematics.
- Proven experience in coaching but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students academically and athletically.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach various levels of math courses, adapting to various learning styles and needs.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their academic growth.
- Coach the Boys Athletics teams, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.
- Organize and manage practices, competitions, and meet with student-athletes and their families.
- Work collaboratively with other faculty and staff to support student achievements.
