Westbrook ISD is seeking a passionate and student-centered Kindergarten Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to building strong foundational literacy and math skills while fostering a classroom environment where young learners feel safe, supported, and excited to learn each day.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Valid Texas EC–6 Core Subjects teaching certification

Reading Academy certification preferred
-
ESL certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Implement district-adopted Bluebonnet Learning reading and mathematics curriculum

Deliver instruction aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)

Use assessment data to monitor progress and support early literacy and numeracy development
