Description

Throckmorton Collegiate ISD, a small 1A school located between Wichita Falls and Abilene,  is seeking a dynamic individual who will provide Student Support Services/Counseling to our students. This person will assist with the comprehensive development of students’ academic, career, personal and social goals. Assistance with scheduling, CTE, PTECH, and college and guidance counseling will be expected. This person will also be the liaison between the district and collegiate partners. 

Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university

Valid Texas school counselor certificate

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Career and Technical Education

Pathways in Technology Early College High School (PTECH)

Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and innovative scheduling

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

Ability to present information in one-to-one, small group, and large group settings to students, parents/families, and district staff

 

Experience:

Three years creditable experience as a classroom teacher. School counseling experience preferred.

 

Benefits:

Salary based on experience and qualifications. $260 toward insurance. Stipends are also available depending on qualifications and job duties.
