Roscoe Collegiate ISD is looking for a passionate educator with a growth mindset who is driven to help students succeed. AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college readiness and skills elective intended to spark positivity, growth, and college/career readiness in students. The AVID teacher will teach goal setting, growth mindset, focused notes processing, organization, public speaking, collegiate writing, communication, inquiry, critical reading, college exploration, and collaboration, among other topics. Must be flexible and innovative with curriculum depending on student and district needs. Must be able to work with other faculty to support students in an early college high school setting. Must be able to train in AVID for 3 days in the summer in addition to district training. Grades taught to be determined.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from accredited university
Valid Texas Teacher Certification in any subject
Preferred:
AVID program experience

General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
