Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated paraprofessional. The ideal candidate will work closely with students to assist with daily activities, academic tasks, and social interactions, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to the assigned student in classroom settings.
• Assist with academic tasks, including homework, assignments, and skill-building activities.
• Implement strategies outlined in the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
• Foster positive social interactions and assist the student in developing social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and document the student’s progress and behavior.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to the student.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in special education or related fields is a plus.
• Will have to pass finger printing and drug screening
• Paraprofessional Certification is preferred, but not required.  We are willing to help you get your certification.
• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
