Loraine ISD is seeking an Athletic Director who can take on Head Football Coaching (as well as other sports) responsibilities. A successful candidate will possess the ability to motivate, develop, and empower student-athletes on and off the field. Loraine ISD currently offers 6-man Football, Basketball, Track, Cross Country, Tennis, Golf, Powerlifting, and Volleyball.
The right fit for our district will be a teacher/coach with a "kids-first" mentality and tech-savvy approach to student engagement and instruction. This employee will be a professional who is willing to be a positive, team-player who embraces an instructional environment centered on intentional professional growth.
Loraine ISD currently pays $2,000 above state base, offers a $5,000 coaching stipend, an additional $2,000 Athletic Director stipend, a $100,000 life insurance policy, and contributes $325 toward monthly health insurance premiums. Housing is available at a discounted rate. *Coaching stipends are being studied and discussed for increase* We have adopted a 4 day/5 day calendar in which students are off every other Friday and staff are off on most of those days as well.
Loraine ISD is an EC-12 school with approximately 140 students and 38 staff members. Loraine is located an hour west of Abilene on I-20, about 75 minutes north of San Angelo, and 30 minutes south of Snyder.
