GOAL(S):

  • Lead PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) in collaborative planning and internalization of HQIM (High-Quality Instructional Materials).

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Texas Essential knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
  • Minimum five years successful teaching experience in elementaary grades with instructional coaching or campus administration experience preferred.
  • Experience teaching math preferred.
  • Experience providing professional development to teachers.
  • Self-Starter who can make decisions and create plan of action for implementing program goals.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:

  • Organize staff and resources to carry out the project.
  • Assist in identifying project needs and develop goals, objectives, and procedures (protocols) for meeting those needs.
  • Design and implement systems for measuring the effectiveness of the project.
  • Establish project priorities for the most efficient use of available resources to reach identified objectives.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the development of decisions and innovations affecting the project.
  • Attend all required trainings and meetings.
  • Train campus staff and administrators in HQIM internalization protocols.
  • Maintain effective communication with partner ESCs, TEA, and district/campus staff.
  • Provide technical assistance to support the project.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • 11 or 12 month contract
  • Salary dependent upon years of educational experience, pay grade 2
  • Participation in Texas Teacher Retirement System.
  • Health insurance benefits.

POSITION DETIALS:

  • Re-employment contingent upon funding and/or evaluation of duties.
  • Reports to Tina Wyatt, Director for Certification and State Initiatives.
